ASK COLORADO PULSEReturn to polls

Your information

Privacy, in plain English.

Colorado Pulse collects only what it needs to operate the polls, protect the community, and show useful anonymous trends.

What we collect

  • Your self-reported email address to associate activity with your voting account. Colorado Pulse does not verify ownership of that email address.
  • Your public username, self-reported Colorado county, and broad age range. We do not request your name, street address, or birth date.
  • Your yes/no votes, comments, comment likes, poll requests, request support, and whether you marked a poll unclear.
  • Basic interaction information such as poll views and use of the explanation or map buttons. This helps rank questions and improve unclear polls.

What the public sees

Your username appears with comments. Your email, county, age range, and voting identity are not shown with a vote or poll request. Requests are presented anonymously. County results are withheld until at least 10 people in that county have responded.

How information is used

Information is used to operate Colorado Pulse, prevent duplicate voting, rank questions and comments, show aggregate results, moderate community content, and improve poll clarity. Colorado Pulse does not sell personal information.

Images and service providers

Poll images uploaded by administrators are stored with the site's database provider. Authentication, storage, security checks, and hosting are provided by Supabase and Cloudflare/OpenAI Sites.

Control your information

Your account stays signed in on the device where it was created. Because the email is not verified, it cannot securely recover the account on another device. You can delete your own comments and individual poll requests from your profile. The “Delete account” control permanently removes your profile, votes, comments, likes, and support history. Requests that have entered public review may remain, but are disconnected from your account.
